A support group for Lanaudière

17 May 2018

For more than 20 years, the Association des personnes handicapées physiques et sensorielles secteur Joliette has hosted a support group for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families.

The group organizes monthly coffee-meetings that address different themes related to the disease and regularly receive guests (occupational therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, etc.). Moreover, annual activities take place in spring and Christmas for meetings in a more festive setting.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm at the Association’s offices (200 de Salaberry Street in Joliette). An Association membership fee of $10 is required to attend the meetings.

*It should be noted that the meetings are currently on a summer break and will resume in September 2018.
