It’s been 10 years that the singer and businessman Patrick Zabé lives with Parkinson’s disease. Ten years without ever having spoken publicly. Surrounded by his family, he decided to break the silence to demonstrate that it is possible to live happily, despite the diagnosis, becoming Ambassador for Parkinson Québec.
“You can not change the diagnosis of Parkinson’s. When you get it, it clings for the rest of your life. However, you can get the better of it by changing your way of living. Eat well, exercise, plan projects and live them, take your medication, paint, create, laugh, travel, love and sing. ” -Patrick Zabé
Patrick Zabé decided to produce an album, “Pour Toi,” which include ten “favorite” songs with the best of the best musicians in Quebec. Antoine Gratton, Fred Fortin, Alex McMahon … and directed by his son, Jean-Sébastien Chouinard. To help fund support services for people with Parkinson’s disease, a share of profits from sales of the album “Pour Toi” will be donated to Parkinson Québec. In addition a series of paintings by Patrick Zabé will be exhibited and sold at fundraising events organized by Parkinson Québec. More details at www.patrickzabe.com
