Parkinson Québec’s Help and Information Line
Specialized counselors are a phone call away to listen to people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, and to answer their questions. Call Parkinson Québec’s information line.
What are the services offered by Parkinson Québec’s info line?
Our confidential phone line is a service dedicated to all people affected, directly or indirectly, by Parkinson’s disease.
Specialized counselors can listen and provide information on all aspects of living life with Parkinson’s disease.

- Tips and tricks to better manage daily life
- Emotional support
- Navigating the healthcare system
- Defense of rights
- Referral to local groups
The information received during these calls should not be used to make a diagnosis or to treat a medical condition. The advice given is not a substitute for medical or legal advice provided by professionals.
If you believe your medical state is deteriorating, you must consult your neurologist, your pivot nurse or your pharmacist.
We do not provide opinions on the quality of services offered by professionals. Therefore, we cannot refer you to neurologists or other health professionals.
What are the support line’s hours?
Parkinson Québec’s info line is open from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
The line is sometimes busy as we take care of the people who call us. If that is the case, you can leave us a message with your name, your phone number, as well as a date and time that is preferred for your call-back.
If you would like us to leave a message on your voicemail, please let us know. We wish to preserve the confidentiality of your call and will not leave a message unless we have received your consent to do so.
You can also make an appointment to have an advisor call you back at a time that works for you.
How is the information collected during calls used and stored?
The information that you will share with us during calls will be stored in a secure file after you have given us verbal consent to do so.
Your contact information and your relation to Parkinson’s disease will be accessible to all Parkinson Québec employees who have signed a confidentiality agreement.
You may be solicited to participate in educational workshops or to make a donation for the cause.
The content of your discussion with one of our advisors will however only be accessible to our team of advisors, who will be able to better serve you in the event of subsequent calls. This information will never be shared with third parties, which includes organizations or individuals, even those close to you.
Your contact information will never be shared with third parties unless you give us verbal authorization to do so. This authorization will be recorded in your file. Parkinson Québec only shares its data with the Quebec Parkinson Network and some of its regional offices.
Statistical analyses may be performed to better understand the use of our service and how to improve it. This aggregate data is completely anonymous.
The security of your information is one of our priorities. Your information is saved in a data management system that conforms to legal requirements. Access to this system is controlled and monitored.
To protect the anonymity of people who call the Parkinson Québec info line, we do not leave voicemails when we return calls, unless we have received your explicit authorization.
