Saucier – van Berkom Research Symposium

Join us at this free online research symposium to learn about Dr Philippe Huot’s research that is opening doors to new therapies to treat Parkinson’s disease.

Free online symposium: “Thursday 20 May at 5pm” (duration: 1 hour)

We are pleased to invite you to the largest Parkinson Quebec research event of the year: the Saucier – van Berkom Research Symposium.

One of the most important challenges in treating Parkinson’s disease is finding ways to reduce dyskinesias, the involuntary movements that most people with Parkinson’s eventually develop.

In this symposium, neurologist Dr Philippe Huot will present the study of the neuropharmacology of the basal ganglia and how modulating two brain chemicals, serotonin and glutamate, could open the door to new therapies to treat Parkinson’s disease.
