Each year, more than 80 organizations participate in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge. In addition to raising funds to continue our mission, this challenge brings us beautiful encounters and wonderful stories to share.
Last year, we were touched by Émilie’s commitment to her father.
“Running a half-marathon for Parkinson Quebec was a challenge for me! It was not easy because I am embarrassed to ask people to donate and I got hurt before the race! However, my father suffers from the disease and the courage and strength with which he lives each day motivated me to surpass myself! My father, in his own way, supported the cause and encouraged me. He even joined me at the finish line after walking about 25 km! He left his home in Varennes and went to Île Sainte-Hélène. It was a memorable moment for him and I, but also for all those we met at the event and who were affected by this cause.” Emilie
