TAVIE™ in motion

Adopt strategies with TAVIE™ in motion

TAVIETM in motion is a support intervention developed with people living with Parkinson’s disease and care partners by researchers from the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CR-CHUM).

In a series of sessions, a nurse as well as people living with the disease and care partners are depicted as animated characters and offer support by informing, guiding and especially preparing you to handle the challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease.

What do the TAVIE™ in motion sessions consist in?

TAVIETM in motion is the product of several years of clinical and research work focused on making your life easier. It includes 11 sessions to watch with a partner (spouses, parent/child, friends) or alone at a time of your choosing.

Over the 11 sessions, you will have access to more than:

  • 50 STRATEGIES explained by a nurse
  • 100 TIPS shared by experienced partners
  • 24 FACT SHEETS and 1 RESOURCE GUIDE available for download and printing

The fact sheets summarize strategies for preserving your health, improving communication with the people around you, asking for help successfully, managing stress, learning about tax measures to which you might be entitled, and more. Levels of care through the disease’s progression and legal considerations are also discussed.

The Resource Guide helps you find services adapted to your evolving situation. It contains a directory of specific resources to meet the needs of people living with Parkinson’s disease and care partners.

These documents are integrated into different sessions. To access them, simply click on the name of the guide or fact sheet that appears at the bottom of the video.

We encourage you to watch the sessions and consult the Fact Sheets and Resource Guide. You can then implement various strategies and tips. We’d also love to hear your tips and strategies to benefit the entire community living with Parkinson’s disease!
