Session 3 : Working together as a team to meet the difficulties encountered
This session is designed to help you face the daily struggles with Parkinson’s disease as a team. In practice, with the assistance of a virtual nurse and tips shared by experienced couples, you will learn to use three effective strategies:
- Strategy # 1: Managing unpleasant emotions
- Strategy # 2: Using reframing
- Strategy # 3: Solving different problems
With these three key strategies under your belt, you will be better prepared to handle all sorts of difficult or delicate situations. See the summaries in the ”Ways to recognize and to defuse unpleasant emotions”, ”Reframing your thoughts” and ”The problem-solving approach” fact sheets.
