The donor pays the annual premiums and, upon their death, the organization receives the insured capital. A tax receipt will be issued to the donor annually or to their estate upon their death depending on which of the following arrangements is\u00a0selected:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"list-style-type:1\">\n<li>Parkinson Qu\u00e9bec is owner and beneficiary of a new life insurance\u00a0policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parkinson Qu\u00e9bec is the partial or sole beneficiary of the life insurance policy and the donor remains the\u00a0owner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The already existing life insurance policy is transferred to Parkinson Qu\u00e9bec and names the organization as\u00a0beneficiary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left has-pq-bleu-color has-text-color\">Retirement Plan Gift (RRSP or RRIF)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Parkinson Qu\u00e9bec can be named direct beneficiary of a registered retirement savings plan (RRSP) and\/or a registered retirement income fund (RRIF). This is a significant way to make a donation to the organization while reducing the tax amount to pay upon\u00a0death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Securities Gift\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Such as shares, bonds, mutual funds and other. A gift of securities that have appreciated in value is a simple and intelligent way to save taxes.
