Our season’s greetings ⛄

“It’s not easy being diagnosed with this condition, but what comforts me is knowing that I’m not alone. I take part in Parkinson Québec’s activities on a daily basis and I love them. They help me tremendously to better control my symptoms and thus live better every day.” Josée

“Organizations like Parkinson Québec have helped me a lot in my caregiver journey. I had no idea what was and what people with Parkinson’s disease went through on a daily basis until I met my partner, diagnosed in 2011. Since then, I have done my homework!” Mario

“Access to the information offered by Parkinson Québec is essential. The support that Parkinson Quebec gives me is invaluable because this organization really helps me cope with the disease as it progresses.”Manon

Like Josée, Mario and Manon, many of you attended our activities such as our online courses and conferences. These events, which took place remotely again this year, due to the pandemic, enabled more than 12,000 people to remain active, to keep in touch with the Parkinson’s community, while learning about the latest advances in research or how to better manage different symptoms and challenges related to the disease.

This fall, we launched TAVIE ™ en Mouvement, a virtual intervention developed by researchers in partnership with people living with Parkinson’s disease and caregivers. This intervention offers a program made up of different sessions aimed at promoting the ability of people and their families to act in the face of Parkinson’s (to be made available in English in early 2022).

Thank you all for your engagement, which allows us to provide information, support and advice to more and more people living with Parkinson’s disease.

On behalf of the entire Parkinson Québec team, we wish you a very good holiday season, and a happy new year 2022!
