The “Défi Vélo” has been reworked in a brand new virtual formula so that you can all continue to “Pedal together for Parkinson Québec”, as you bravely do every year.
This year, it is under the honorary presidency of Mr. Alain Champagne, Président of the Jean Coutu Group that this 10th edition of the “Défi Vélo” will be held in a unique virtual form.
At Parkinson Québec, we rely on fundraising to pursue our mission of supporting people affected by Parkinson’s disease, which is why we would like to thank you for being there with us. There surely won’t be a big gathering this summer, but thanks to this Virtual Challenge, you, the cyclists, will be able to get involved with the Parkinson community, in your own way, to raise funds.
Here are a few suggestions to participate in this “Défi Vélo”, it’s up to you to choose the formula that suits you best:
✳️ By setting yourself a goal and accumulating kilometres on outings throughout the season.
✳️ By organising a specific outing (on Saturday 22 August 2020) and pedalling according to the chosen challenge (40 km, 60 km, 90 km or 150 km).
(We will share with you the routes mapped out for the 2020 edition).
✳️ By organizing a team outing (on Saturday 22 August 2020) respecting the number of authorized participants (10 cyclists or less).
✳️ By accumulating the kilometres on your exercice bike to reach the chosen challenge (40 km, 60 km, 90 km, 150 km).
No matter which formula is chosen, we invite you to share your exploits, via the Internet and social networks to share your mission and thus raise funds that will allow Parkinson Québec to accompany people living with the disease, so that they can continue to empower themselves.
